How accurate is this poll in the past?

I'd add Legion Collegiate to 2A

Thanks for posting Slick!!!! I can't believe that they don't have Beaufort ranked in 4A. We are going to be LOADED this season. But I am kind of glad though because I want Beaufort to surprise people. I also can't believe that they don't have Whale Branch in the 1A poll. I look for both teams to be in that poll once the season gets underway.

Timberland ahead of Abbeville...interesting. I do not know much of the Wolves....Atown lost a good bit but we gonna be tough. We have talent, but, younger players will have to step up. i'm still miffed at some decisions we made last year, and, very miffed at the way we ended season. Pre-season polls are basically a conversation piece.

Newberry at #3 preseason? I don't even know if we will be top 3 in the region.

First thoughts about this poll is that there is a lot of influence from "HISTORY" in the selections and very few huge surprises. There are a few comments that come to my mind, but like the clown says, "its like our hineys, we all got one"

Class AAAAA
Gaffney - Always a fairly safe pick and they have made some changes in coaching so this is quite possible
Sumter - Came close two years in a row
Dutch Fork - Takes guts to put them anywhere other than #1
Dorman - Always going to put a good team on the field... lot of students to pick from helps
Byrnes - If we solve the QB issues, we can be good but not sure this good

I agree. With no clinics and 7-on-7 tournaments, all anyone has to go on this year is team history, coaching history and known returning players. It didn't require a crystal ball to make these picks: Class AAA -- Dillon, Camden, Daniel, Chapman,...

I sure hope it's not very accurate this year. Half of the top 8 teams in 4A are from Region 6. (Myrtle Beach, Hartsville, North Myrtle Beach, Wilson)

The only two 4A-6 teams not listed in their top 16 are Darlington and South Florence. Ouch. I hope our coach pins that one up in the weight room.

Polls are for strippers. I put one in my bedroom. Now my wife can entertain her guests while I watch TV. Such a relief for me. Thinking about changing our last names to "Falwell".
