Fort D doesn’t have the best defense in the state by a long shot. They have a good defense but Berkeley and Goose Creek exposed you in the first half and any team watching the film would see that. You haven’t played anyone anymore than Dutch Fork has other than Mallard Creek and they couldn’t stop the run at that point of the season. That could have changed since game one and yes I was there.

I am going to see Dorman and Gaffney this week so I look forward to seeing some great offense and defense from both these teams. Loser finishes 3rd in their conference. Fort will get a test on 10/25 from Ashley Ridge if they get their heads screwed on after playing Summerville for 54 minutes very strong! Best offensive and defensive game other than the DF vs MC game I have seen this year.

Unless Dorman or Gaffney challenges Byrnes it will be my bet that Dutch Fork face them in the finals. DF will push aside Fort if they make it to the Quarter Finals which would be a home game for Fort. Personally I don’t think Fort makes it to the Lower State Championship because they tend to start too slow and they play too weak of a schedule during the regular season to make them ready for a championship run. My opinion! For you Fort fans I hope I am wrong but you continue to play sloppy football against inferior competition. FACT!!

Retired coach, allegiance is to no individual team anymore. Just state a view from a former coaches view point and try to be honest in my assessment. For the record I travel around the state looking for the best games to watch. I hate boring games but I do enjoy watching certain talented kids so a boring game is always possible.

The Osborne kid at Fort is such a kid. Freshman QB that has a big future if he works on mechanics. Read my posts and you will see what I say is both positive and honest in critic.

I saw the Ozzy Osbourne 14 year old kid at the Fort vs Berkeley game this year. He needs work Coach like you said. Slick even said he thought that boy was gonna be the next A-Aron Rodgers!!

Time will tell with the kid. Good example is the QB at 3 time State Champion DF. You would think he would go play football somewhere but he decided on a baseball scholarship. Let’s see how he develops and see what other sports he decides to play while in high school before we crown him the next anything. Kids today are screwy and change their minds so often. Plus too many get that entitled feeling about themselves. 3 years is a long time and a lot can happen. Steve will temper him I am sure. The question is how much longer before he retires?

Gaffney I agree should win, but I never would have thought they would have lost as badly to Byrnes. They actually played Mallard Creek better than Dutch Fork. That is why I think DF should not think too highly of themselves. Byrnes I think is for real!

We have had the turnover bug.
But as for the slow starts first few games that wasnt the case.
If we use our sr qb in the 1st half we usually do fine .we started to throw the freshman in heavily in our last few games.
Berkley knocked our young oline back ( they needed it).we recovered. (Coach said the headsets went out so we went same play a quite few times)i dunno thats what coaches show said.i know they came out the box onto the side line thats when the game changed.
I truly do not think anyone has exposed anything other than we are forcing a young qb a little to often to season him.it dont always work out. Our defense is fine.we will be fine and do well.
